I just got back from the Tesla Motors store at Santana Row. My intention was to place a preorder for the Tesla Model 3. I gave up as the line was long. Crazy long. The line went around the entire building and then had to double-back on the other side of street because there were too many people. I am guessing that there were several hundred people lined up at 8:45AM. The pictures don’t do it justice.
Reminds me of an Apple product launch. People are lining up for a car they have never seen. And I was going to do the same thing. Heck, we don’t even know the specs. If that doesn’t tell you something about the need that Tesla is filling I don’t know what does. It also speaks loudly to the fact that people think Tesla Motors is a quality brand and are willing to put deposits down site unseen. Pretty awesome.
I guess I will check back later to see if the line dies down, if not I will be ordering online tonight. Would I do this for a Chevrolet? Nope.
